The diary contains notes on events she witnessed given a Spiritual & Mystical veneer. She lived as a Beguine, serving God & the poor in Austrian Towns. Mysticism became popular among the movement, being as they werre on the fringe of the Roman Catholic Church. This, and the eventual decadence of the movement saw them often at odds with the Catholic Clergy - Blannbekin's own vision of swallowing Christ's Foreskin seeing her own works banned.
