Sprinkled cloth gilt, VG. xx+361-824pp, series title page ( The Works of Sir William Stirling Maxwell ) 10 woodcut illustrations, 12 plates which appear twice in the work - once as a steel engraving & once as a mezzotint giving 24 plates in total, paper spine label in good order, cloth is steel blue with red sprinkled decoration, armorials in gilt on the upper cover, Large paper edition, limited to 415 copies ( 265 for England & 150 for the USA ) of which this is copy 20.
