Cloth, G. 3 volumes, xxii+568pp, xiv+552pp, xiv+549pp, index to volume 3, Ex Library with bookplates & occasional ink stamp, blind library stamp to the covers of each volume, spine to volume one almost detached, internally fine with some occasional spotting. Uncommon history of Spanish literature & poetry which is also useful as a history of Spanish civilization & manners from the end of ther Moorish period to the 19th century. Ticknor [1791 - 1871] was a lifelong student of Iberian literature & culture & taught the subject at Harvard.
