Half calf over moire boards, G. 2 volumes, cclxxvi+iv+149pp, xiv+410pp, engraved frontis & title vignette to each volume, 23 engraved plates in volume I, 2 handwriting facsimilies & 23 engraved plates in volume II, neither volume has the supplemental plates which were bound in at extra cost when published. Printed in double column. Nice large quatro copies, rather worn with the leather rubbed & with part missing to the base of the spine on volume II, edges rubbed, water tide marks to the margins of the plates not affecting the images, internally the pages ate in places a little grubby & marked with yellowing at the egdes. A fair set. The complete works of the Scottish Bard, with a 270 page life at the begining of volume I. Robet Burns [ 1759 - 1796 ], the national poet of Scotland & pioneer Romantic.
