Willoughby, Barrett Sitka - To Know Alaska One First Must Know Sitka
Hodder & Stoughton 1930 1st edition.
Cloth, dj, G+/VG. 248pp, b/w frontis, 15 b/w plates, cloth split along upper hinge but a previous owner has neatly glued the cloth so the binding is firm, complete with the dustjacket which is browned a little to the spine and rubbed, with loss to the edges. Overall a nice copy with the rare dustjacket. Account of travels in Alaska around the old Russian tradding outpost & capital of the Northern Pacific. The author, called the 'Forgotten Lady of Alaska' travelled throughout the region & wrote several short stories set in the Frozen North of Alaska.
