Detailed study of the Edicts of the Diocletianic Persecution - the most severe persecution of Christians by the Romans. Diocletian & several other high ranking Romans wanted to force the Christians to follow traditional Roman Religion & religious practices, and severely punished those who did not comply ordering the population of offer sacrifice to the Gods. The author here putting forth a more reasoned view of Diocletian than is generally given by Christian historians.
