Full red calf, VG+. 152pp, b/w frontis, each apge printed with in a red & black ruled border, all edges gilt, art nouveau motif on the upper cover, an attractive copy of a nicely produced book, leather just a little rubbed & faded along the spine. The poetical works of the Scottish United Presbyterian minister William Bruce Robertson [ 1820 - 1886 ] noted for his fine, if long sermons. He found rising difficult & this resulted in his often being late to his pulpit. Despite his success as a preacher he remained in Irvine, a Church being built there for him.
