The Shakespeare quartos went to Harvard, the Blake items were retained by his family [ not in this catalogue ] and the rest was sold.

William Blake was inspired to produce 12 works to illustrate the poem. William Falconer [1732 - 1769], sailor & poet. His experience as a sailor helped him produce his most famous work 'The Shipwreck'. ironicaaly Flaconer was to die abourd the Aurora, which was lost with all hands of the Cape of Good Hope in 1769.
